Dr Anna Johnston is Head of Clinical Haematology at the Royal Hobart Hospital. She trained in Sydney, Canberra and France before returning to Hobart in 2011. Her main research interests are haematological malignancies, particularly lymphoma; supportive care and stem cell transplantation.
Anna is a clinician researcher and an enthusiastic collaborator with national and international colleagues. She is a principal investigator for the PETReA study which is investigating PET-adapted therapy in post-induction treatment of follicular lymphoma. She is an active investigator for multiple cooperative group and industry studies as well as a strong contributor to investigator initiated research. Anna enjoys the challenge of diagnosis and management of a broad range of haematologic disorders. She is motivated to ensure that patients in rural and regional areas have equal access to the benefits of cellular therapies.
