Professor David Ritchie MBChB, PhD, FRACP, FRCPA is the Deputy Director of Clinical Haematology and Head of the BMT Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He is the director of the ACRF Translational Research Laboratory at Royal Melbourne Hospital and has supervised >20 higher degree students. As Director of the MRV Centre for Research Excellence in Bone Marrow Biology, he is a leader in philanthropic support and strategic direction of bone marrow failure research. He is a past president of the HSANZ and past deputy chair of the ALLG. He is an invited reviewer and contributor to multiple journals including Blood, Blood Advances, BJH, JCO and Cell. His clinical and translational research is specifically on the immunology and immunotherapy of blood cancers and the immunology of allogeneic transplantation and bone marrow failure. He has published and presented his work widely with over 250 peer-reviewed publications, and presented at international meetings including ASH, EHA, EBMT and ASBMT.
